Method

A calm, repeatable way to examine trial-to-paid conversion without drowning the team in dashboards. Each phase ends with something you can share: notes, maps, or ranked recommendations.

Facilitated working session reviewing conversion stages on paper

Why a method page exists

Trial-to-paid conversion analysis fails when it becomes a vague “look at the numbers” exercise. We define stages so product owners know what to prepare, what sessions will cover, and what the final pack will contain.

The same spine underpins our flagship analysis and narrower reviews, scaled to the question you bring.

Phase 1

Briefing and scope

We confirm trial length, billing cadence, who owns conversion decisions, and which cohort window is fair to study. You share anonymised summaries and a walkthrough of onboarding and upgrade prompts.

Phase 2

Path mapping

Together we mark activation milestones, paywall encounters, and exit points. The map stays concrete: screens, messages, and moments a trialist actually experiences.

Phase 3

Cohort walkthrough

We follow a recent group of trial starters through the mapped path, separating people who never activated from those who activated but did not pay, and those who paid after friction.

Phase 4

Findings and priorities

You receive a written pack with ranked recommendations, effort notes, and open questions for finance or engineering. A walkthrough call keeps the briefing aligned across roles.

Phase 5

Clarification window

For flagship analyses, two follow-up calls within thirty days help you interpret early reactions to changes without opening a new full engagement.
